like the color gray
is a process

or just another dark bare orchard?
nonetheless
stand outside the circle
see the empty euphoria
for what it isn't
release the decades past
subservience
is a prerequisite
to status quo
comfort-strength a calm ocean
makes immediate pain a little less
til the next storm
