& there certainly 
is no magic  
of how 
the economy
will rescue 
another lost generation
maybe the future
will point to 
fifty million more 
poets & musicians
     their minds will not be wasted
they are the force 
out of reach
of the exploiters
used car salesmen
cannon fodder
suburban waste landers
     looking to those
     revolutionary librarian cadres
     for guidance

--made me think/smile about the present day poets and librarians in my life--raised/living on a street where my dad was the only non-steelworker--i know no steelworkers--only ex -steelworkers
