earth note 202

are we still curious enough
to be looking
for a unified field theory
for life on this fragile planet
that connects every being
plant and animal
with one another
regardless of station
influence
language or no language
conscious or unconscious
     an unbreakable bond
that's not negotiable
     doesn't require believing
          either
nonetheless
     is omnipresent
          and as simple or complex
as one cell
     in the sea?
