yesterday i heard a fisher say
this december was more like summer
the heat and humidity unusual
puddles that don't evaporate easily
overnight condensation leaving
beads of sweat on the kayaks
clear
like droplets gathering
then running down
just before the sun
finds and pokes a hole
thru the clouds
a lizard blends in
under the kitchen table
confused perhaps

Give the lizard a nickname: Gingrich, because it looks like a Newt to me.
wouldn't want to insult the lizard family.
