the
river is lazy right now
maybe
the mourning doves & humming birds
will
wake it up
from
old town
there's
a pueblo drum beat
perhaps
that will wake us up
a
park ranger rolls up
to
the honor system
car
parking cash box and finds it empty
i'm
just one of many bicycles
listening
for rain showers
rising with brown adobe daybreak
